A mad man has been lynched and burnt to death for killing 5 children of the same parents in one day.

Trouble started when the kids were playing and then suddenly the madman appeared from nowhere, got hold of a cutlass, and started matcheting them.

By the time villagers knew what was happening, the kids were lying lifeless on the ground.

The 35-year-old mentally deranged man was subsequently lynched for killing the children identified as five-year-old Bolu, Johnson, Tosin, Joel, and Sesan aged two, belonging to Olaegbe Adeola.

The incident occurred around 9:30 am at Asa Village in Ojaodan, a Lagos border community.

Police spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the incident to Newsmen in Abeokuta.

He added the family forcefully collected the bodies for burial despite police advice that autopsy be conducted with the claim they have no case to hold with anyone.
