Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika has declared that the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, are to resume domestic operations on Wednesday, July 8.

Sirika announced this on his Twitter handle on Wednesday night.

He said date for commencement of international flights would be announced in due course.

The minister disclosed that Lagos and Abuja airports would resume operations on July 8, while Kano, Port Harcourt, Owerri and Maiduguri airports are to resume operations on July 11 and other airports would start operations on July 15.

“I am glad to announce that Abuja & Lagos airports will resume domestic operations on the 8th of July, 2020. Kano, Port Harcourt, Owerri & Maiduguri to resume on the 11th. Other airports on the 15th. Date for international to be announced in due course. Bear with us, please.”

A 28-year-old woman in India has given birth to a baby girl with no arms and legs in the Sakla village of Sironj Tehsil in the Vidisha district yesterday, according to local reports.

The baby was born with an autosomal recessive congenital disorder – Tetra-Amelia – which is characterized by the absence of all four limbs.

Footage shows a woman holding the baby which is missing both its arms and legs and is wrapped in a blanket.

Dr Suresh Aggarwal, a pediatrician at Rajiv Gandhi Smriti Hospital, Sironj, said the baby is perfectly healthy.

Doctors suggest the baby will be taken in for further assessments to check if her internal organs have developed properly.

Tetra-Amelia syndrome is a genetic disorder caused by mutations in the WNT3 gene and is extremely rare.
